Most Orlando Scooter Renters are surprised when their scooter battery life drops dramatically while touring Disney Worlds’ Animal Kingdom. Weight on a mobility scooter is what determines battery life and when adding hills to that it is exponential. Even for a slight incline or hill, for every degree of increased angle, the more power is used. Think about it this way…is it harder to carry a 50 pound child on a flat surface or when you are climbing a hill? The hill of course because you are now carrying the child’s weight plus you need extra exertion to get yourself up the hill too. Same with a scooter. The scooter not only had to move the riders weight but also its own weight.
